PURPOSE:

The Women’s Studies Center offers an undergraduate and graduate certificate as well as a Master of Arts degree, with a wide variety of courses taught by its four faculty members and more than 50 associate faculty members in various departments throughout the university. These programs prepare students for careers in agencies and institutions that serve women, for Ph.D. work in women’s studies or a traditional discipline with a focus on women’s studies, or for advanced professional training in such fields as law and public policy. International service organization of professional women who work for the advancement of women and address women’s economic self-sufficiency, equality, health & nutrition and human rights and education through local and international service projects. Scholarships – Young Women in Public Affairs Award; Jane M. Klausman Women in Business: established to encourage undergraduate women to enter careers and to seek leadership positions in business-related fields.
